So as my title implies i am off on holiday :D, i'm so excited as me and my boyfriend booked this holiday to turkey over a year ago and it seems to have taken forever to come around. I fly early tuesday morning so i wont be blogging for about two weeks. But when i get back i will have lots of outfits to post. Finished my packing today and cannot wait to wear some of my new clothes ! well see you soon p.s the picture above is the hotel i'm staying at i have been before and its amazing !
So last week it was my cousins little boy kian's christening. I had been panicking about what to wear for about a month before hand until i came across this lilly maxi dress from miss selfridge. I absolutely love it as it's really comfortable to wear and is just the right length where i could wear either wedges/heels or flats, for the christening i opted for sandals as it was a long day. The only fault i could find with the dress is that it is a little bit too low cut and i had to keep pulling it up so when wearing it again i think ill wear a little vest top underneath. Overall i had a lovely day at the christening even though it did rain for the majority of the day ! and i cant wait to wear my dress again on holiday :D
In my last blog post i mentioned that i was going to london graduate fashion week. Well i did and it was really good we saw shows from kingston and liverpool john moores universities. Although being from liverpool and liking the john moores collections i feel that the collections shown by kingston were truly amazing. Whilst at the show me and my friend spotted henry holland and after a good 5 minute debate as to weather we should ask for a picture i took the plunge, he kindly agreed and seemed really nice. Whilst in london we also got the chance to visit giles deacons design studio which was really interesting and his creative director gave me and my class some great advice on university and internships. Overall i liked london as it was my first time there i feel i did miss out abit as i didnt see any of the tourist things such as big ben or the london eye .. maybe next time :)
Top - american apparel/ Jeans - next /Sandals - primark /Bow - topshop via ebay
As i go to london with college tomorrow my wonderful boyfriend treated me to a meal out as i wont really see him for the next two days :)
I wore my american apparel top/jumper which has been sitting in my draw since christmas, i had almost forgot i even had it when i spotted someone wearing it in pink whilst in town the other day and after a long search around my house i found mine. I really love the top but i think what puts me off is the fact its quite itchy and tends to ride up a lot due to its over elasticated bottom so i wore mine with a vest top underneath to help solve both issues and i think after today it may become a more used piece of my wardrobe. I also wore my next high waisted jeans which i love but have had quite a while now so i think it may be time to invest in a new pair soon and then my sandals from primark which i know don't really look as nice on this picture as they are in real life since i have had them so many people have complemented them i think i could do with investing in another pair before these get worn out as well ! Im also wearing my favourite hair band a white bow from topshop i originally had one which i bought myself in topshop but seemed to loose it last year in new york but after quite a few months of searching i found one for sale on eBay !
Im really excited about london as we are going to see graduate fashion week ! which i think is going to be really exciting i think we may even get a chance to speak to some of the students as well :) Another reason i am excited to go is that i have never before been to london which i find quite shocking as i have been to new york twice but never to my own capital ! I hope it has the same busy atmosphere that i love in new york.Well i better had pack now save me rushing around tomorrow morning :) Will update soon on news of graduate fashion week and london :)
So my latest college project involves creating clothes based on a story tale. I chose the sinister tale of Jekyll and Hyde so to represent this im doing a photo shoot of opposites ive roped my little cousin into modelling for me and today we took the first half of the photographs where i styled her all girly for one and then all smart and geekish for another and tomorrow we shoot her opposites which will be gothic and wild ! today went really well and we took 330 photographs which took 4 hours and although i am tired i am so pleased with the results so i wont bore you with all 330 but here are my top 5 :)
Enjoy ... will post tomorrows photo shoot as soon as its done :)
